Please welcome Rochelle Adams to the MK Equestrian team.
Having met Rochelle through work, I knew she would be the right fit to be a great ambassador for MK Equestrian and Kingsland. Her life is horses!
Having left school to pursue a career in horses, she found herself learning the ropes at thoroughbred farms in the Nagambie / Euroa area, then moving on to riding track work at Flemington. Rochelle went on to become a successful jockey, winning the Yea Cup on a horse that she is now successfully eventing. An extremely nasty track work fall brought Rochelle’s riding career to a halt. With a broken verterbrae, she was millimetres from not been able to walk again. After a long recovery program, Rochelle has made a full recovery, but in doing so, she no longer rides trackwork!
Rochelle competes successfully on her Yea Cup winner Mr Opostrophe. She took ownership of him the day he stepped off the track and they have never looked back.
Rochelle is still heavily involved in the racing industry, working full time for Sheamus Mills Bloodstock. You will often find her at different farms inspecting yearlings and mares or at the sales buying stock for clients.
I look forward to you seeing updates on Rochelle’s and Mr Opostrophe’s progress.
